Liberal, Kansas – After falling short on the road in Coffeyville just a few days ago, the Seward County Saints men’s basketball team stepped foot on the floor inside of the Green House to take on the #8 nationally ranked Cougars where despite a big second half surge, the Saints were unable to recover from the hole they dug in the first, losing 69-53 to Barton at home.
Nado Boys Take on Fairland in Second Round
The Nado take on 3-0 Fairland in their second-round matchup of the Ty Hewitt Memorial Tournament. Coffeyville is coming off a 10-point, 56-46, win over Owasso on Tuesday. Zay Logan led the team in scoring with 12 followed by nine from Aaron Tunstall and 8 from Kasen Dollar. The Nado are 2-0 with two double-digit wins and averaging 58 points a game while holding opponents to just 36 points a game. Logan leads the Nado in scoring averaging 14 a game.

Coach Coots Starts Career with Win
The new Lady Nado head coach starts his career off with a win 51-41 over Caney. The Field Kindley girls got off to a hot start shooting 54% from the field in the first half and would lead 30-26 at halftime. The second half started rocky for the Lady Nado as they would get cold from the floor and Taiylor and Kaylin Caron got into foul trouble. Despite shooting 23% in the second the Lady Nado, thanks in large part to good defense, extended their second-half lead and would win by 10. Head Coach Tyler Coots says it's a good feeling to get that first win out of the way.
