Reno County voters hit the polls for early election turnout

This year's mid-term election has seen a surge of Kansas voters casting ballots in person in advance, including in Reno County. Wyandotte County in northeast Kansas reports early voting has nearly tripled. Advance voting began Oct. 19 and will continue through Nov. 2. The Kansas Secretary of State’s office reported on its website that 161,838 Kansans had voted in person and 42,317 had cast mail ballots as of Oct. 26, meaning 204,155 Kansans had voted in advance. The state had sent out 103,679 mail ballots, with 40.82% of those having been returned, that site said. Information on where Reno County voters may cast their ballot early and in person can be found at https://www.renocountyks.gov/Elections . Here's what turnout's like in Reno County Reno County Clerk Jenna Fager said 3,900 ballots were cast during the first week of advance voting. That put Reno County on pace to finish with more advance, in-person ballots than it received in the last two general elections in which the state's governor's race was on the ballot, which were in 2018 and 2022.
