This week in Ironton, Ohio, two incidents occurred that impacted the safety of the community. The ex-cop, Bradley Spoljaric, had resigned from the force after his arrest on July 27, 2022. The second incident involved a murder on September 8, which led to a multi-state manhunt lasting 40 hours. Ashland, KY — Angelo Dre Clifton, 29, faces federal charges for his involvement in the sale of fentanyl-laced heroin that led to a fatal overdose in July 2019. A federal grand jury formally indicted him on Thursday on charges of distributing fentanyl causing death and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl.

This week in Huntington, West Virginia, there were three notable incidents. First, a robbery suspect named Jessie Daniel Specht briefly escaped custody while being taken to his arraignment at the Cabell County Courthouse. Second, police are investigating a reported stabbing that occurred on West Fifth Avenue. Although no victim or suspects were found at the scene, security cameras captured video footage of the incident. Lastly, four men have been indicted by a grand jury for their alleged involvement in a fatal shooting that took place in 2022. The men were indicted on charges of murder and the use of a firearm during the commission of the crime.

His conviction stems from the murder of an 8-year-old boy, a case that originated in July 2019 in Union Township.
