Weekly Safety Report: Robbery suspect escapes, stabbing investigation, and fatal shooting indictment hit Huntington
This week in Huntington, West Virginia, there were three notable incidents. First, a robbery suspect named Jessie Daniel Specht briefly escaped custody while being taken to his arraignment at the Cabell County Courthouse. Second, police are investigating a reported stabbing that occurred on West Fifth Avenue. Although no victim or suspects were found at the scene, security cameras captured video footage of the incident. Lastly, four men have been indicted by a grand jury for their alleged involvement in a fatal shooting that took place in 2022. The men were indicted on charges of murder and the use of a firearm during the commission of the crime.
