Softball Game Preview: Greencastle Hits the Road
The Greencastle Tiger Cubs will head out on the road to challenge the Brown County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greencastle will head into Monday's game out to bounce back: they came back down to earth on Monday after soaring to a six-run match in their last game. They fell just short of Terre Haute North Vigo by a score of 4-2. Greencastle has not had much luck with Terre Haute North Vigo recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
DePauw University celebrates WGRE’s 75th birthday
GREENCASTLE, Ind. (WISH) — DePauw University’s WGRE-FM 91.5, one of the oldest college radio stations in the country, celebrated 75 years of broadcasting. Station Manager Josh Nally, also a Senior at DePauw, joined Daybreak to chat with News 8’s Jeremy Jenkins about the festivities on Monday at the Union Building ballroom.

Lacrosse teams celebrate seniors ahead of postseason play
Women: On Saturday, the Kenyon women’s lacrosse team defeated DePauw University 19-7 in the team’s Senior Day game to claim its spot in the NCAC tournament. Ali Hatfield ’24, one of the 10 seniors honored at Saturday’s game, recounted how the seniors channeled their excitement for the day into a powerful performance. “Prior to the game, emotions were strong among the seniors recognizing that this was likely our last time playing on [the Field at] Benson [Bowl],” she wrote in an email to the Collegian. “The game was very high stakes for conference tournament placement, so we supported each other in turning those emotions into motivation. We agreed that while it may be our last time playing on Benson, it wouldn’t be our last time playing this season.”

At DePauw University, a group of compassionate students have come together to ensure the welfare of the campus's homeless cat population. Known as the DePauw Campus Cat Allies (DCCA), the club is dedicated to creating and implementing humane solutions to care for the feline residents that call the DePauw grounds home.

Fillmore Elementary School students ‘Pay It Forward’ by creating May Day cards
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Students at Fillmore Elementary School paid it forward during a special project with the North Scott Rotary. As part of the “Pay It Forward” project, fourth-grade students at the school worked together to create May Day care packages including notes of inspiration. The bags were then delivered to seniors at Ridge Crest Village.
