ABLE Commission denies petition for Total Wine & More in Oklahoma
Employees of locally owned liquor stores said they are worried about being pushed out of business if a national chain is successful in its bid to open up a store in Oklahoma. Total Wine and More, a national liquor store, was recently denied an application to open up a location in the Oklahoma City area. Now, some are worried they will attempt to change state law to make their way into the state.
Country music star Zach Bryan to donate merchandise sales to Barnsdall tornado victims
Country music star and Oklahoma native Zach Bryan announced that merchandise sales from an upcoming concert will go to tornado victims in the state. Bryan, who is from Oologah in northwest Oklahoma, said all proceeds from the merchandise sold on night one of "The Quittin Time Tour" at the Paycom Center will go to the recovery efforts in Barnsdall, where an EF4 tornado leveled homes and killed two people.
