Clinton man sentenced for 2022 double shooting that killed two men

CLINTON, Mo. — A 21-year-old Clinton, Missouri man is sentenced for a 2022 double shooting that left two men dead.

Henry County prosecutors said Airic Brauer was sentenced Wednesday to serve a total of 16 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

In January, Brauer was found guilty by a jury for voluntary manslaughter and armed criminal action . He was sentenced to 10 years for the voluntary manslaughter charge and 6 years for the armed criminal action charge.

On Sunday, July 17, 2022, an officer with the Clinton Police Department located multiple vehicles in a gravel parking lot in the area of Artesian Park near the Rogers Street entrance.

Upon further inspection, the bodies of two men, identified as 18-year-old Mason Roskop and 21-year-old Mitchell Andrew Raines, both of Clinton, were found dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

Brauer was later taken into custody near the scene.
