Inclement weather is disturbing the reginal round of the 2024 NCAA Softball Tournament across the country.
One of the delays has also impacted the Tuscaloosa Regional, with Clemson softball playing USC Upstate in an elimination game on Saturday at the Crimson Tide's Rhoads Field. The Tigers (34-18) held a 3-0 lead on USC Upstate in the sixth inning when the delay started. Clemson was in the elimination game after losing 6-2 to Southeastern Louisiana on Friday.

The Spartans fell 1-0 to host Alabama on Friday, falling to the elimination game. The winner of this matchup plays Southeastern Louisiana later in the day in Tuscaloosa in another elimination game. The winner of that would advance to the regional final against Alabama on Sunday. The game was slated to restart at 6:30 p.m. CT.

6:40 p.m.: The Clemson-USC Upstate elimination game in the Tuscaloosa Regional is scheduled to resume at 8 p.m. CT. The game entered a lightning delay at 3:41 p.m. with the Tigers holding a 3-0 lead.
6:20 p.m.: The game remains in a weather delay with both teams headed back to take cover. No new time has been shared for an estimated start time.
5:10 p.m.: The game is currently scheduled to re-start at 6:30 p.m. CT, according to a post from Clemson softball's X (formerly Twitter) account.
3:41 p.m.: Lightning in the area has caused a delay. When the game resumes, Arielle Oda will be on first with no outs for Clemson.
