A former Clemson player is back in the NCAA transfer portal once again.

Demarkcus Bowman has re-entered the portal, TCI confirmed.

This marks the third time that Bowman has put his name in the portal, as the 5-foot-10, 193-pound running back has also spent time at UCF (2022-23) and Florida (2021) after starting his career at Clemson (2020).

As a redshirt junior at UCF in 2023, Bowman played in three games and rushed for 62 yards with a touchdown on 10 carries before suffering an injury against Villanova and missing the rest of the season. He redshirted the 2022 season at UCF and did not appear in any games that year.

Bowman transferred to UCF after spending the 2021 season as reserve at Florida, where he rushed for 81 yards on 14 carries while seeing action in five games.

A former five-star prospect, Bowman originally signed with Clemson as part of its 2020 class and played briefly in the Tigers’ first two games during the 2020 season before entering the portal and eventually transferring to Florida.

Bowman had nine carries for 32 yards for the Tigers in 2020. He averaged 3.6 yards per carry and did not score a touchdown.

In his high school career at Lakeland (Fla.), Bowman racked up 5,081 rushing yards in three seasons and scored 71 touchdowns.

A limited number of signed footballs from Clemson’s 2022 class are still available.  Get yours while supplies last!  Visit Clemson Variety & Frame or purchase online!
