Garage nearly collapses in Washington County after car slams into a home
SPEERS BOROUGH, Pa. (KDKA) - In Washington County, a scary scene caused part of a garage to collapse after a vehicle slammed into a home. It unfolded around 7:30 p.m. in Speers Borough near Charleroi at the home on Arlington Avenue. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found a car on its side. They were then able to pull the car away while supporting the home. A neighbor told KDKA this is the second time this home has been hit. They added that it's most likely due to the fact that the home sits on a very sharp corner. As a result of the crash, more than 130 West Penn Power customers are without power as a result of the crash. It's unknown if anyone was hurt in the crash. Man charged in North Strabane bank robbery now facing charges for another bank robbery
WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) - A man charged in a bank robbery in North Strabane earlier this week is now charged with a second robbery in Washington. According to police, Brandon Scerri demanded all the money they had at the Washington Financial Bank on East Wylie Street last Monday. Scerri and a woman, Kayla Pruett, are also accused in a robbery at the First National Bank on Washington Road two days later. "There are a lot of similarities [and] we're working with their detectives and the FBI," said Lt. Mike Miller of the North Strabane Township Police Department. Lt. Miller said in the second incident, the robber targeted First National Bank in the 2600 block of Washington Road. "We have one male who came into the bank wearing a surgical mask," he explained. "He passed the teller a threatening note and got away with an undisclosed sum of money. He indicated he had a weapon."Police are still searching for both Scerri and Pruett.
Man accused using drone to stalk underage girls
CANONSBURG, Pennsylvania (KDKA) -- A Washington County man is accused of using a drone to stalk and harass six people, including five underage girls. According to police, 44-year-old Michael Brackman, of Canonsburg, allegedly used a drone to follow his victims, with the youngest being 12 years old. Brackman is accused of stalking his victims for one year.
