Christian Co. man recognized for his dedication to conservation, land management
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A Christian County man has been recognized as the Illinois Recreational Access Program's (IRAP) 2023 Landowner of the Year. Chuck Martin, a lifelong upland bird hunter, conservation advocate and local author, is enrolled in IRAP, a program that leases private property from landowners for outdoor activity access.
Man guilty of drug-induced homicide in Christian County
KINCAID, Ill. (WICS) — A Christian County man pleaded guilty to the charge of attempted drug-induced homicide. Bradley P. Graham was sentenced to nine years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by one year of mandatory supervised release, with credit for time served of 286 days. Graham also has to pay a $10,000 fine.

Three Wrestlers Earn Podium Finishes at Girls State Wrestling
Three local athletes finish on the podium at the IHSA girls wrestling state finals on Saturday. Glenwood’s Jenna Tuxhorn leads the way with a 4th place finish at 135 pounds. Also at 135 pounds, Olympia’s Jordan Bicknell picked up a 5th place finish. Jacksonville’s Alexis Seymour finished in 6th at 120 pounds.
