James L. Cupples, founder of Cupples’ J&J Co., died at home in Jackson, Tenn., on Nov. 7, 2023, at the age of 91. Cupples was first employed at Tigrett Industries of Jackson in its Toy Division. He later founded Cupples’ J&J Co. on June 6, 1966, as a small tool and die business. Today, the company offers design, fabrication, and installation of special parts and equipment, as well as production of spare parts, prototype parts, and production parts, with locations in Jackson and Dyersburg, Tenn.
