A Troy resident has admitted to tampering with evidence after shooting a grizzly bear on his property in 2020. Othel Lee Pearson pled guilty to two federal charges of tampering with evidence and failure to report the taking of a grizzly bear. The Community Crockpot, Inc. Soup Kitchen celebrated 10 years of feeding Bonner County’s underserved community Feb. 12 with a 125-person pizza party. The nonprofit, which operates from the Hoot Owl Cafe under the supervision of Savannah Mort, served up 24 large pizzas, in addition to their regular fare, and is now looking toward the next 10 years of shared meals and smiles.

Sandpoint 2024 Youth Track and Field Program: Opportunities for K-6 Students
The Sandpoint Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, along with the Sandpoint Track Team, are launching the 2024 Youth Track and Field Program for K-6 students. The program, led by Sandpoint track athletes and a volunteer coach from LPOSD, offers a range of events including sprints, distance events, hurdles, relays, long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and a pole vault clinic. OLDTOWN, Idaho — Deputies have located Faith Larsen after she ran away Sunday afternoon. Deputies need your help in finding a runaway 15-year-old girl around Oldtown. According to an alert posted by Bonner County Sheriff's Office, Faith Larsen ran away around 4:52 p.m. on Feb. 18. She is 5'07", weighs around 230 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.
