(FOX40.COM) — A man was arrested by the Citrus Heights Police Department after he was allegedly found in possession of 40 grams of fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, and thousands of dollars in cash.

On Friday, CHPD said it was following up on recent concerns of illicit drug activity in the area when graveyard patrol officers observed and suspected criminal activity between two people at a gas station off Lichen Drive.

Both people attempted to walk away, but a 38-year-old Sacramento man was stopped by law enforcement after he crossed Antelope Road, according to CHPD. The man was reportedly found to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and had several warrants out for his arrest,  including a felony warrant for theft of a motor vehicle.

During a subsequent search of the man and his vehicle, officers said they found $3,500 in cash and over 40 grams of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and heroin, along with “additional evidence of drug sales.” He was arrested and taken to a local jail.
