Bridgewater struck by severe storm; community left to pick up the pieces
BRIDGEWATER, Va. (WHSV) -Many residents in Bridgewater brought out chainsaws and industrial equipment after a severe storm with winds estimated around 60 mph ripped through the northern part of the town. Storm damage ranged from trees knocked over in front of people’s houses, to roofs ripped off of buildings and flung into the neighboring farm fields. Many residents described the rain and lightning as “aggressive” and “blinding.”

Suspects identified in road rage incident involving firearm
WAYNESBORO, Va. (WHSV) -The Waynesboro Police Department has identified the two suspects in a road rage incident involving a pistol that occurred on January 30th. After an ongoing investigation, police have identified the suspects as 20-year-old Carlos Castillo and 19-year-old Adan Palacios, both of Murietta, Georgia. Each was located and arrested in the state of Georgia, and then extradited back to the city of Waynesboro.
