Woman facing felony charge after allegedly helping inmate escape custody
RICHMOND, Va. (WDBJ) - A woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly helping an inmate escape the Greensville Correctional Center in 2023. In August 2023, Naseem Roulack, 21, who is serving a 13-year sentence for multiple charges, escaped from the correctional center. He was captured and returned to custody in October 2023.
Virginia Department of Health employee embezzles more than $4M in fraud scheme
A former employee who funneled millions of dollars from the Virginia Department of Health into a fake business account pled guilty Thursday to the scheme. Adam Lamar Harrell, 41, of Midlothian, faced charges including mail fraud, federal program theft and tax evasion. In total, Harrell received $4,337,395 in funds obtained illegally.

Boar's Head Provisions Co., Inc., of Jarratt, Virginia, is recalling all liverwurst products due to possible contamination with listeria, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announcement. The company is also recalling all deli meat products produced on the same line and the same day as the liverwurst due to concerns that these products have also been contaminated. Those meats include beef salami, bologna, Virginia ham, and numerous other products.
