Gas prices continue to drop across SoCal

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped for the 26th time in 27 days Wednesday, falling 2.8 cents to $6.045. The average price has decreased 39.4 cents over the past 27 days, including 2.3 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The run of decreases follows a 44-day streak of increases totaling 79.7 cents that brought the average price within 5.4 cents of its record high, $6.493, set Oct. 5, 2022.

There was roadway flooding reported on Elkhorn Rd between Hidden Valley Rd and Strawberry Rd in the Watsonville / Pajaro area. Water from the slough was coming onto the road and had reached the dirt barrier. The road was not completely flooded, but there was a lot of water on it and orange ‘FLOODED’ signs were posted.
