SKANDIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - For those looking for fresh, locally grown produce, look no further than the Skandia Farmer’s Market. The market kicked off its 2024 season on Wednesday. Twenty-three vendors local to the area sold things like produce, plant starts, art and baked goods. Participants could also enjoy burgers made from local beef and hand cut fries.

Scenic highway along Lake Michigan closed for weeks after high water damage
DELTA COUNTY, MI – Emergency repairs to a scenic highway along Lake Michigan in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula will take two to three weeks, officials said. A section of US-2 in Delta County was recently damaged by high water, forcing officials with the Michigan Department of Transportation to close the road to all traffic.
