ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Virginia State Police canceled an Amber Alert issued Wednesday night for a 17-year-old in Bloxom, on Virginia’s eastern shore. Per the Bloxom Police Department, the abducted 17-year-old was found early Thursday.

Grief counseling is standard today after a shooting. WDBJ 7 says residents of Melrose Towers will be offered counseling because the dead body of 39-year-old David McFall of Roanoke lay on the sidewalk for 4 hours in front of the apartment complex before the coroner arrived. McFall shot and wounded a female police officer and another officer shot him.

The suspect's name has been released-the officer's has not. WFXR has an update related to the incident on Sunday evening where a female police officer was shot and the suspect was killed. Virginia State Police have released the identity of the man who was killed during the police shooting but the injured police officer has not been identified.

Roanoke, Va - A Roanoke police officer is in critical condition after sustaining gunshot wounds during an incident at Melrose Towers on Sunday. The officer, was identified as Officer Lauren Camper, underwent surgery and is currently undergoing treatment at LewisGale Hospital.
