Frontier Days is fast approaching. The Frontier Days committee has announced that Ron Jacobs will be serving as this year’s parade grand marshal. Jacobs was born in Shady Dale in 1938. He attended school at Meadowbrook, where he graduated in 1956. After graduating from both Murray State College in Tishomingo and Southeastern Oklahoma State University (then College) with an education degree, Jacobs went on to teach for almost 30 years.
