Southern University baseball prepares for pivotal matchup with Grambling State
BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) — The Bayou Classic on the diamond comes to the Bluff at a pivotal point for Southern, the weekend before the SWAC Tournament. The Jaguars (15-11 in conference play) are currently the fourth seed out of the SWAC West and play host to the second seeded Grambling State (17-8). With a sweep of Grambling, and a bit of help from Alcorn State (6-21) against Prairie View A&M (15-9), there is an opportunity for Southern to move into second place.
74th annual Louisiana Peach Festival to take place June 1
RUSTON, La. (KNOE) - The 74th annual Louisiana Peach Festival will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in downtown Ruston. The festival will be held from 9 am to 11 pm with more than 100 arts and food vendors, more than 12 hours of live music, fresh peaches and treats, a parade, interactive kids’ activities and more.
