Oak Hills football back in win column, erupts for 57 points vs Cajon
Oak Hills had a full week to sit with the frustration of being shut out by JSerra Catholic. The Bulldogs made good use of it on Friday, Sept. 18. Oak Hills forced four turnovers in the first half and scored its most points in a game this season in a 57-26 victory over Cajon. “We had to redeem ourselves, man,” Royalton Allen said. “We can’t just go out like that. You know we’ve got to come back harder and stronger.” A week after losing 63-0, Oak Hills (3-2) scored 36 points in the first half and pulled its starters after building a 57-19 advantage in the third quarter. The turnaround began on the first snap of the night. Nathaniel Perez forced a Cajon fumble, and Ahmir Malone recovered it and returned it for a touchdown. Jayden Dennis intercepted Cajon’s next possession, and the Bulldogs unveiled a different look offensively. Allen, who has primarily made his impact on defense this season, lined up at quarterback and took a series of direct snaps as Oak Hills drove downfield. Allen, committed to the University of Wisconsin, eventually scored his first touchdown of the season to give the Bulldogs a 13-0 lead. High School
