CHILLICOTHE — The Mound City Group Visitor Center is showcasing art from students around the country. These pieces of art highlight were created by students who were given the theme of "Sharing the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks with the World."

This art show is the fourth year that the park will be collaborating with International Fiber Collaborative to present the exhibit. Director of Interpretation and Education Susan Knisley said she loved seeing how each group interpreted the prompt.

Over 620 students, from 13 schools, from Ohio all the way to California participated in the project creating designs made with various mediums to be hung in the visitors center.

"We've touched a lot of states through this," said Knisley.

Knisley said the park participated in several distance learning events with some of the schools so that students could learn the history and importance of the park before starting on their project.

The gallery can be seen every day from April 15 to June 23 during normal business hours at the Mound City Group Visitor Center.
