Ride On Glenmont Express Shuttle Ending After Extended Run

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will discontinue its Glenmont Express Shuttle, with the final day of service scheduled for Friday, October 2. The free Ride On shuttle was launched in response to Metro’s partial Red Line closure from July 6 through September 6, providing direct service between the Milestone Park-and-Ride, Shady Grove Metro and Glenmont Metro on weekdays.

Utility pole work to restrict traffic on York County road through October

Utility pole replacement work began Monday, Sept. 28, on a stretch of Wise Road in York County, bringing lane restrictions that are expected to continue through October. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that the work on Route 2049 will take place between Route 851 and Hushon Road in Peach Bottom Township. Crews will work daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, with flaggers controlling traffic through the work zone.
