Murder arraignment for third suspect in deadly shooting on I-391 in Chicopee

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The third suspect in a deadly shooting back in March on I-391 in Chicopee is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.

Miguel Dones , 21, of Springfield will be charged with the murder of 35-year-old Guyton Winspeare of Chicopee, according to Hampden County District Attorney Spokesperson Jim Leydon.

Dones is in custody for several drug and gun offenses after a traffic stop on I-91 in Holyoke on March 22. Police seized an AR-15 assault rifle and a trafficking weight of drugs inside of his vehicle. Dones is being held in the Hampden House of Corrections in Ludlow with a bail set at $25,000 cash.

On Wednesday, March 12 around 10:00 p.m., a vehicle with multiple people inside went to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with some of them injured from gunshot wounds. Winspeare was one of the people shot inside the vehicle and died from his injuries. The others inside the vehicle were uncooperative with the investigation.

Investigators were able to develop probable cause for three people allegedly responsible for the homicide. Noah Torres, 19, of Springfield, and Kiana Gonzalez, 22, of Holyoke were arrested on March 22 for multiple charges in connection to the incident .
