Sports bar to move into Viva Bene spot in Worcester, closed since 2016
After eight years of vacancy, the Viva Bene Italian restaurant site in Worcester will be turned into a sports bar. Reginaldo Grilo, a Northborough resident, told the Worcester License Commission on May 16 that he plans to open 158 Sports Grill Garage at 144 Commercial St., the site of the closed Italian restaurant. According to Grilo, the restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and can hold up to 150 people. According to the license commission’s agenda, Grilo is seeking approval not just to sell alcoholic beverages but also approval to have live music, karaoke and television. According to the restaurant’s Instagram account, there is no exact date when the restaurant will open.

Auburn running back Brian Battie has been hospitalized following a weekend shooting in Sarasota, Florida, where his brother was killed and three others injured.
