BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced to nearly 50 years in prison for an armed robbery spree at various convenience stores in Amherst and Cheektowaga in 2021, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

40-year-old Londarr Ward was sentenced to 46 years in prison for the robberies. The four robberies took place between Feb. 22 and March 7 of 2021, where he would display what appeared to be a pistol and stole lottery tickets.

He was convicted of four counts of robbery and one count of criminal possession of stolen property in January. He was sentenced as a second violent felony offender.

Ward also has a pending case against him from September 2022, in which he is accused of assaulting his defense attorney during a meeting at the Erie County Correctional Facility. In that case, he will return to court in August before a trial begins in September for one count of second-degree assault.

As part of his sentence, he will also have five years of post-release supervision.
