Lady Rangers crush Gilbert, drop pair to Chapmanville
CHAPMANVILLE – The Lenore Middle School softball team dropped its second straight game to Chapmanville as the Lady Rangers lost 10-3 on Tuesday night at CMS. Chapmanville led just 3-2 after one inning and 4-3 after three before breaking the game open with a four-spot in the fourth and then adding two more insurance runs in the sixth.
Tug Valley opens with sectional tournament win
NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — The Tug Valley Lady Panthers softball team opened Class A sectional tournament play with a big 16-0 win over visiting Huntington St. Joe on April 29. Tug pitcher Bailee Hall pitched a perfect game and helped her own cause at the plate with a two-run homer and a double going 2-for-4.
