RANGELEY – On Saturday, August 3, lovers of poetry will gather at 3:30 p.m. in the Rangeley Public Library to honor poet Hugh Ogden (1937-2006), formerly of Poets’ Island, Rangeley. Suzanne S. Rancourt will be the featured poet at the 17 th annual Hugh Ogden Memorial Poetry Gathering. Sponsored by the Rangeley Public Library and the Ogden Poetry Committee, the event is free to all. Local Performers Pack the Theater for a Night of Music
For the second time in six months Rangeley’s community radio station, WRGY, has treated the region’s music fans to a delightful showcase of local musical (and comedic) talent. RadioFest, held June 30 in collaboration with the Rangeley Friends of the Performing Arts at the Lakeside Theater, provided more than two hours of folk, light rock, instrumental and vocal entertainment to a packed house.

Rangeley Firefighters Association Annual Golf Tournament – The Perfect Summer FUNdraiser
On Sunday, July 14, the Rangeley Firefighters Association held their Annual Golf Tournament at Mingo Springs Golf Course with a 9:00 a.m. Shotgun Start. Teams participated in a fun filled day which included prizes for all of the winners, a general raffle with lots of items and a Silent Auction. RANGELEY — The town’s finance director has given her resignation notice, effective Thursday, Town Manager Joe Roach said Monday. RANGELEY —The 17th annual Hugh Ogden Memorial Poetry Gathering will be held Saturday, Aug. 3 at 3:30 p.m. at the Rangeley Public Library. The gathering will feature poet Suzanne Stewart Rancourt whose family is from Rangeley. The event begins with greetings from the Ogden Family and a brief community open reading of poetry.
