Boys & Girls Club receives substantial donation
The Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks received a donation from a former Branson Alderman. Bill Skains unsuccessfully ran for an Alderman position with the city of Branson in the April election. After his run, the remaining funds in his campaign were donated to the Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks.

Grant funded EV chargers in Nixa get go ahead
At its Council meeting Monday, the City of Nixa agreed to move forward on a grant funded project to install EV chargers on three city owned sites. The city will receive level 2 charging stations at Nixa City Hall, the Nixa Community Center and the downtown parking lot. 80% of the costs, just over $105,000 dollars, will be paid by grants through the Carbon Reduction Program, a part of the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The city will pay 20% of the costs, $26,273.

Branson Public Schools summer sport camps
Branson Public School has announced a number of summer sports camps. The Soccer Footskills camp will take place on Tuesdays from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. from June 4 through July 30 at the Branson High School practice fields. The camp is open to boys and girls from grades 3 to 8, and no registration is required. Participants will need to bring a water bottle, wear tennis shoes or cleats, bring an age-appropriate soccer ball, and desire to become a better player. The lessons will be presented by the Branson High School coaching staff.
