Cedar Springs man arrested on theft charges in Kent County
50-year-old Dannon Semposki is in custody at the Kent County Correctional Facility, charged with felony larceny. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office recovered approximately $10,000 in stolen property from a Solon Township residence last week. Authorities say Semposki is responsible for multiple thefts totaling upwards of $30,000 in the Cedar Springs area since March of this year. Detectives also recovered several stolen items belonging to residents in Kent County, northern Michigan, and the Upper Peninsula. Those items include construction tools and a refrigerator.

CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. — The family of an employee who was critically injured working inside a giraffe enclosure is clarifying the details leading up to the accident. On April 19, Kent County deputies responded to Deer Tracks Junction Adventure Park just after 3:30 p.m. The initial report said 27-year-old Tyler Powell was on a ladder in the giraffe enclosure when the giraffe hit the ladder, causing him to fall.
