Police officers arrested an Anamosa gym teacher about a decade after he was accused of sending inappropriate messages to a female student. 50-year-old Wayne LaSack faces one count of sexual exploitation of a minor. There was an investigation into the 2014 incident four years later, but the principal believed the accusation by the 15-year-old girl was unfounded after LaSack denied the conversation and implied his now ex-wife sent the messages. The complaint says screenshots of the messages surfaced again this year along with additional information. Police interviewed LaSack, his ex-wife and the now former student, resulting in the arrest and new charges.
