Bellevue motorcyclist dies in head-on crash near Missouri River
MILLS COUNTY, Iowa (WOWT) - A Bellevue man died in an apparent wrong-way crash on a Mills County road late Friday. The Iowa State Patrol reports a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Jacob Saxer, 39, was headed west in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 34 around mile marker 1, west of Glenwood, shortly after 11 p.m. A second vehicle, a 2019 Kia Niro, was headed east at the same location. The motorcycle collided with the front of the Kia in what ISP termed a “driver-to-driver style” head-on crash.
Council Bluffs man arrested for murder after two bodies found
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - Council Bluffs Police have arrested a man for murder in connection with the discovery of two men’s bodies early Sunday. CBPD says Dequanta Zachary, 30, of Council Bluffs, faces two counts of first-degree murder and one count of possessing a firearm as a felon. He’s accused of the deaths of Deonte Ivory, 36; and Michael Anderson, 25, both of Omaha.
