Dorsey's trial date reset
The trial of Dale Dorsey, originally scheduled to begin on June 10, has been pushed back a couple of weeks. Dorsey appeared in Marion Circuit Court on May 6 for an other hearing where it was noted that a witness for the Commonwealth was unavailable, forcing the trial to be reset until June 24 at 8:30 a.m. with any remaining motions in limine at 8:00 a.m.
Rollover collision sends Smithland man to hospital
PADUCAH, Ky. — The McCracken County Sheriff's Office responded Thursday to a report of an overturned vehicle at the 6700 block of Lovelaceville Road in McCracken County. According to a news release from MCSO, deputies responded around 12:19 p.m. and found that Shane Freiberg, 19, of Smithland, driving his 1995 GMC Yukon west on Lovelaceville Road, attempted to overtake another vehicle. Freiberg drove off the roadway and overcorrected, which caused the vehicle to overturn.

PADUCAH — Paducah just started archaeological survey work for the city's B.U.I.L.D. Grant project, digging holes to ensure history is not disturbed.
