THOMPSON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Kaydence VanRay hit a 2-run homerun to give the Carrington Cardinals the lead 14-13 in the top of the seventh, and they hold on to upset the number three seed Grafton Spoilers, 15-14 on Saturday afternoon. The number six seeded Cardinals picked up their first Region 2 tournament victory ever, this is the second year of the program in Carrington.

THOMPSON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinals Softball team lost two games at the Region 2 tourney on Monday, 17-0 to MayPort/CG-HN, and 12-2 to Pembina County North, both by 10-run rule. Carrington ends their season in fourth place at the region tournament in just their second year of the program and finish at 7-8 overall.

CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinals picked up two Region 3 victories over the Mustangs of Nelson County, both games the Cardinals won by the score of 11-0. The first game they won by 10-run rule in five innings, the second game went to the seventh inning. In the second game, Grady Shipman of Carrington hit a 2-run homer over the right field wall, his fourth of the year. Carrington is now 9-1 in R3 and 12-4 overall, NC drops to 1-9 in R3 and 2-11 overall.
