ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Two former Eddy County residents were arrested in Mexico. David Haynes and Johnny Crowley both had arrest warrants and were found hiding in Jaurez, Mexico.

Officials say Haynes is accused of drug trafficking crimes from March of 2023. Authorities accuse Haynes of having about 17,000 fentanyl pills with the intent to distribute at his home in Carlsbad. Law enforcement learned that Haynes went to Mexico and was staying with Crowley, who had a warrant for his arrest for a probation violation. Local and federal law enforcement worked with Mexican authorities to locate the men, arrest them and return them to America in custody.
