    4 things to do at the Hall of Fame Village in May

    As spring heats up, the Hall of Fame Village offers some events this month for people looking to get out and about. Here's four things to do at the Village in May.

    Kentucky Derby Day at Don Shula’s American Kitchen

    A watch party for the 150th Kentucky Derby is Saturday at Don Shula’s American Kitchen. It will be a must-see for the most exciting two minutes in sports.

    Coverage will last all day long on May 4, with the race start time at 6:45 p.m. Mint juleps will be featured on the menu along with other favorites. Attendees will also have a chance to win a $50 E-Gift card if they dress up derby style.

    Mother’s Day Brunch at Don Shula’s American Kitchen

    A specialty brunch will be available at Don Shula’s American Kitchen during Mother’s Day, which is May 12.

    Menu features will include a Maryland Crab Cake Benedict, Spinach & Artichoke Frittata, Stuffed French Toast and a Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich. These specialty items will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the standard menu being available all day.

    The celebration will continue with discounted rides at Play-Action Plaza during the weekend.

    Third Down Thursdays at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium

    Third Down Thursdays are back and will be held once a month from May to August.

    The first one is 4-7 p.m. May 16.

    This event will take place on Sky Terrace, which offers views of the Hall of Fame Village and Canton. Attendees will be able to enjoy food, beverages and live entertainment.

    Village Carnival at Play-Action Plaza

    The first ever Hall of Fame Village Carnival will be a three-day event from May 17-19.

    The Village will partner with Kissel Amusement Company to deliver a fun-filled weekend. Over a dozen rides will be offered for all ages along with skill-based games.

    Also expect plenty of food and beverage options including fries, corn dogs, funnel cakes, lemonade and sandwiches.

    One day wristbands will be available for $35 and weekend pass wristbands for $75. Individual ride tickets also can be purchased for $2 each. Rides require 2-8 tickets. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.kisselamusement.com/event-details/village-carnival .
