Live in Liberty Music Festival brings music to the village green
The third annual Live in Liberty Music Festival brought country hits to a crowd of music lovers seated around the Village Green behind Liberty City Hall. The all-day music festival began at 11 a.m. May 25 and continued for 11 hours straight, until 10 p.m. The bands playing were Blacktop Rodeo, Johnny Holland, The Dooley Gang, The Kentucky South Band, and Five Below Band.
Rakes family welcomes son
Hagan Randlee Rakes was born May 17 at Taylor Regional Hospital. At birth, he weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20¼ inches long. The son of Austin and Maddie Rakes of Campbellsville, he also was welcomed by a big brother, Hunter Dakota Rakes.
County fair brings the fun June 3-8
A tradition dating back to the early 1900s, the Taylor County Fair is preparing for this year’s six-day celebration. Alex Cox, president of the fair board, encourages everyone to come enjoy clean, family-friendly environment the week of June 3-8 at the fairgrounds at 1835 New Lebanon Road in Campbellsville. Gates open at 5 p.m. each evening with the carnival rides starting at 6.
