One of the latest big-ticket home sales in Palm Beach County is a $35 million dollar mansion in Jupiter's Admiral Cove . The home in the exclusive gated community along the Intracoastal Waterway reportedly has a 22-car garage, unusual perhaps, but its upper 10-figure sales price isn't exactly a rarity this year across Palm Beach County. According to a report issued by the South Florida Realtors association , Palm Beach County is on track to shatter its record for $30 million-plus home sales. As of September 2026, the county had already recorded 21 sales in that price range — a number that ties the existing record for a year. The pace this year, with two months left, has the county on track for 28 sales of $30 million-plus mansions to be recorded by the end of December. The dollar numbers are staggering but not surprising. A migration of high-end people, and their wealth, to Palm Beach County in the past decade, and especially since the COVID pandemic, has injected billions of dollars more worth of reality to the "Wall Street South" brand. Hedge funds and corporate offices have filled office towers, while a slew of other enterprises, including healthcare providers,

Florida voters resoundingly decided to slash their own property taxes on election day, sending shockwaves through the local governments who now have to figure out which services to cut. On the potential chopping block: the millions (and billions) of flooding projects that are sorely needed in soggy South Florida. At the Southeast Florida Climate Compact’s annual summit this week, elected officials from Palm Beach County to the Keys openly worried about what this new mandate means for the projects they’ve been advocating for. On stage, Broward County Commission Steve Geller put it bluntly. “I advise people to move to another state because Florida is going to be a hellhole,” he told the crowd. “We’re going to be underwater.” READ NEXT: Voters said yes to Amendment 3 tax cut. Florida just handed homeowners a real win. Amendment 3 passed on November 3 with 62% of the vote, expanding the homestead exemption from $50,000 to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028. For the average Broward County homeowner, that’s roughly $1,300 back in their pocket next year.
