Mid-South man arrested for murder at Mississippi park, U.S. Marshals say
HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. - A Mid-South man was arrested by the U.S. Marshals after a deadly shooting at a Mississippi park. The Marshals said 20-year-old Markavis Sanders of Fayette County was arrested in Memphis for a homicide that happened April 19 in Holly Springs, Mississippi. The deadly shooting happened at a city park in Holly Springs at the intersection of College Street and North Boundary, the Marshals said.

Fayette County had a scaly visitor over the weekend in the form of an eight-foot alligator. In what is the latest of several sightings, a seven to eight foot alligator was spotted in northern Fayette County on May 11.
