Two lucky individuals in Southern California are waking up as millionaires after matching five numbers in the Powerball draw on Wednesday night (April 3). According to KTLA , The winning numbers were 11, 38, 41, 62, 65, and the Powerball number was 15. The PowerPlay was 3X.

The two tickets , each worth a whopping $1,622,808, were sold at an Albertsons in San Dimas and Oxnard Shores Bottle Shop in Oxnard. However, since neither ticket had the Powerball number, the main jackpot will roll over to an estimated $1.23 billion for Saturday night's (April 6) drawing.

In addition to the two million-dollar winners, twelve other Californians matched four numbers plus the Powerball and will take home $19,682 each.

Wednesday night's jackpot was the eighth-largest in U.S. lottery history. The odds of winning the top Powerball prize are 1 in 292.2 million. The jackpot has been growing for over three months since the last player won the jackpot on January 1. Since then, there have been 39 consecutive drawings without anyone matching all six numbers.

Southern California is no stranger to big Powerball wins. Last summer, a resident won a $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot, and in February 2022, Los Angeles resident Edwin Castro claimed a historic $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot.

Powerball tickets are $2 each, and drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. The winner can choose between the annuitized payout of gradually increasing payments over 29 years or the lump sum.
