Local motorists should prepare for traffic delays as westbound Interstate 40 at the SH-102 junction in Shawnee, Pottawatomie County, will be narrowed to one lane for surface repairs. On Feb. 26, The Davis Police Department conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle for violations of Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Statute. Upon the officer making contact with the driver, probable cause was developed to conduct a search of the vehicle. When searching the vehicle, approximately 20 pounds of illegal marijuana was discovered. The driver of the vehicle, Guiping Min, was arrested and charges have been submitted to the Murray County District Attorney’s Office. This is an arrest, and not a conviction. The Davis Police Department has, does and will continue to protect and serve the citizens of Davis.
