Salyersville man takes plea deal in federal drug case
PIKEVILLE – A Salyersville man accepted a plea deal in a federal drug case earlier this month, with sentencing set for February. On November 20, the signed plea agreement was entered into federal court records, with William C. Hylton, 39, of Salyersville, confessing to the charge of conspiracy to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance, in Johnson County in April this year.

Two incidents of drug trafficking were reported in Floyd County, Kentucky this week. In the first incident, a woman from the Harold community, Jill Adkins, was arrested after deputies discovered she was trafficking drugs. Over 40 grams of methamphetamine, along with other drug paraphernalia, were found during a search. Adkins was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. In the second incident, a man from Auxier, Jonathan Martinez, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.

Floyd Co. man arrested after leading deputies on chase
FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Dwale man is facing several charges after he reportedly led deputies on a chase last week. The incident occurred in the early morning hours on November 23. It started when Keith Dougie Webb, 49, tried to escape deputies in a vehicle. Deputies were able to get the vehicle stopped but Webb continued the chase on foot in the Dwale area.
Magoffin man charged with assault for apparent prank that cut his brother’s throat

Police were called to a Salyersville home Sunday afternoon, over a report of a man cutting his brother’s throat with a knife.
