Dog thrown from moving car on Route 44 in Avon recovering; community funds surgery
AVON, Conn — The Avon community is coming together to help fund surgery for a dog that was thrown from a vehicle in town Tuesday. The Town of Avon Animal Control took in a 1-year-old Lhasa Apso, nicknamed "Amelia Airheart," who was thrown from a moving vehicle on Route 44 near Petco and Puerto Vallarta around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
