Buda favorite Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant will soon renovate its interior, per recent public records.

The Tex Mex classic will undergo a “renovation of an existing historical building in downtown Buda. Same owner/tenant, just updating the interior and roof,” per the construction notes. The project is set to begin in June and begin by September, costing an estimated $500,000.

What Now Austin briefly reached owner Curtis Garcia, but he did not provide detail on the project.

“The first Garcia’s Restaurant was established over 25 years ago (1988) in San Marcos, Texas. Curtis and Antonia Garcia decided to use their family recipes to start a restaurant that would be successful based on food quality, customer service, and cleanliness. Mr. and Mrs. Garcia’s vision for their restaurant reflects in the six additional locations that have been established by their children,” the official website states.

“We do this by offering the best service and great food at a fair price. Knowing that a business is only as good as its people, the Garcia family has set high standards and expectations for their employees. We hope that every dining experience here at Garcia’s is a pleasant one.”
