Smoke testing to take place near Hwy 501 in Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Myrtle Beach residents may notice smoke on Monday morning as smoke testing is underway as of 8 a.m. The city government said the testing will take place at Sewer Pump Station 83 in the area of 1360 Highway 501 and will last around one hour.

Deputies believe Cordova man used tracking devices to stalk victim before murder
ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — Orangeburg County deputies say they found the man who killed two people at a home several weeks ago. Richard Haynes of Cordova was apprehended by several law enforcement agencies last Friday at a hotel in Myrtle Beach. He’s now being charged with two counts of murder, burglary and stalking.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - There is some pain at the pump as gas prices in Myrtle Beach have risen 15.5 cents in the past week, averaging $3.25 a gallon, according to GasBuddy. The cheapest gas in the city was priced at $3.09 per gallon on Sunday, and the most expensive was $3.49 per gallon.
N.C. man dies weeks after shooting in Myrtle Beach-area nightclub parking lot
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - A North Carolina man has died weeks after he was shot in the parking lot of 3001 Nightclub, according to the county coroner. 22-year-old Jadis Nelson, of Rockingham, was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in the early morning of April 7 after being shot. The Horry County Coroner’s Office confirmed Nelson died at the hospital on Wednesday.
