Shootout Offshore Opens With Well-Attended Raceboat Parade And Street Celebration
Of the 45 offshore racing teams currently registered for this weekend’s Shootout Offshore event at the Lake of the Ozarks, no less than 10 consider the Central Missouri waterway to be their home or near-home water. And from the Super Stock-class duo of Myrick Coil and Rusty Williams of Performance Boat Center to the Super Cat-class pairing of Rob Unnerstall and Casey Boaz in CR Racing, all of them want to put on a show—and bring home a checkered flag—for their hometown fans.
Osage Beach organization to host bicycle riding camp
Magic Dragon Trails in Osage Beach is offering a one-week bike riding building camp for children ages 2 — who are potty trained — and up. The camp will welcome all level of bike riding abilities. The organization says it is never too late to learn how to ride a bike. The main purpose is to build biking skills for young children and strengthen balance.
Peters Back In The Cockpit With Mod-V Shootout Offshore Ride
Out of the Super Stock-class ranks, former LPC team owner Loren Peters of Sunrise Beach, Mo., will be back in the cockpit today at Shootout Offshore on the Lake of the Ozarks. But he won’t be throttling a Super Stock raceboat, as he did with various drivers including Mike Wright. He’ll be handling the throttles alongside driver Travis Petko of the Relentless/Laticrete team, which competes in the Mod V class.
