Shots fired investigation leads to five arrests in Seaford
SEAFORD, Del. – A total of five people were arrested over the weekend on drug and weapons charges. The investigation began just after midnight on Saturday, when Seaford Police were called to respond to the Mearsfield Development for a report of shots fired. Numerous vehicles were seen leaving the area of a residence that is still under construction, and police subsequently stopped one of the vehicles, observing a firearm that was attempted to be concealed in the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle and its occupants led to the recovery of two additional firearms and marijuana.

Police investigating early morning shooting that left one dead in Laurel
LAUREL, Del. – Laurel Police are currently investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured early Monday morning. Police say they were called to the Little Creek Apartment complex at around 1:30 a.m. for reports of shots fired in the area. Officers arrived at the scene to find a large crowd of people in the area and called in additional officers to assist with dispersing the crowd.
