Jersey Shore native makes it to final four on ‘Next Level Chef’

Jersey Shore native Gabrielle Chappel is putting central Pennsylvania on the map as she soars to success on Gordan Ramsay's "Next Level Chef."

Chappel, a recent culinary school graduate based in Brooklyn, New York, is somewhat new to cooking, but you wouldn't know it from her performance.

Of the 8 initial contestants in the social media category, Chappel was picked second. Chappel was then drafted into Gordon Ramsay's team.

Formerly a freelance producer and reporter, Chappel turned to the culinary world a few years ago, with her first gig being a "social media chef" on a Youtube production of Epicurious, followed by New York City pop-up dinners. She has since earned a degree from the Institute of Culinary Education.

Chappel now marks her culinary style by three things: farm-to-table, seasonal, and mostly plant-based. She credits her rural Pennsylvania upbringing with shaping her style, shared Chappel in a previous interview.

Viewers can watch Chappel perform in season three on FOX and on Hulu. The semi-final round, "The Taste of Success," will be released on Thursday, May 2.
