Southbound No. 4 trains experienced delays, and there was no No. 4 train between 167th Street and Woodlawn Avenue in either direction. Regular service has since resumed as of Friday morning.

Train riders could’ve used the D train between Manhattan and the Bronx as an alternate route. The MTA is also suggested the Bx10 bus, which provides service between Bedford Park Boulevard and Woodlawn.

The incident does not appear to be criminal in nature, according to the NYPD.
