First Melty location outside of Utah opens at The Pinnacle in Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) – Melty, a restaurant known for its grilled cheeses, sandwiches, melts, and soups, opened its doors for the first time in Bristol, Tennessee Tuesday morning.

The new location is the first Melty to open outside of Utah .

“I have never seen quite the amount of buzz around one of our store openings anywhere compared to here,” Melty CEO David Nibley said. “So we’re so grateful to be here.”

Customers were lined up outside of the new restaurant at 408 Pinnacle Pkwy ahead of its opening.

“When I pulled up, and I saw a line here on a rainy day at 10:30 in the morning, it was an awesome feeling, Nibley said. “People are so excited to try our food.”

The restaurant will be open 10:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Sundays.

Patrons spun a wheel of prizes to celebrate the grand opening. Melty shirts, hats and gift cards were up for grabs.

Restaurant leaders told News Channel 11 that everything at Melty is made fresh to order.

The Bristol location may be the first Melty outside of Utah, but the chain plans to open more locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, California, Arizona, Massachusetts and Texas.

Nibley told News Channel 11 that if things go well in Bristol, he would love to see more Melty locations open in the area.
